Through our collective efforts, we aspire to create a harmonious synergy between music, environmental consciousness, and marine conservation, ensuring that the marine heritage of Ibiza, the Mediterranean Sea, and oceans on a global scale thrive for generations to come.

Our Initiative:
The Posidonia Project

The Posidonia Project, an initiative of MusicForTheSea.org - founded by composer /sound engineer Coco Francavilla - addresses the dual impact of Ibiza as a global epicenter of the electronic music scene and home to the UNESCO-recognized Posidonia Oceanica , a critical Mediterranean underwater ecosystem playing a significant role in combating climate change.

Through artist residencies, underwater acoustic research , multidisciplinary events, and collaborations with ocean scientists, the project merges art and science to raise awareness and funds for marine conservation.

Recognizing the ecological footprint of club tourism, the project aims to give back to Ibiza by utilizing the vast global outreach of the music community to advocate for marine conservation and contribute to the UN Ocean Decade's 30x30 goal, safeguarding its marine heritage and inspiring a worldwide movement for ocean protection.
