Grand River is the alias of Dutch-Italian composer and sound designer Aimée Portioli, based in Berlin. Her work blends experimental electronic music with classical minimalism, creating immersive soundscapes that merge acoustic instruments and modular synthesis. As a poly-instrumentalist and founder of the One Instrument label, she explores the emotional and structural depths of sound. Grand River has performed at international festivals such as MUTEK, Sónar, and Le Guess Who. She is a key contributor to the Posidonia Soundscapes project by Music For The Sea, where her sonic explorations help bring attention to the fragile beauty of Mediterranean seagrass ecosystems.
