What’s the Blue Worth? is an event that explores the potential of the Blue Economy as a tool for sustainable development. The session begins with a screening of the documentary What’s the Blue Worth?, which portrays how economic growth can coexist with marine conservation, highlighting initiatives in Rio de Janeiro that combine science, innovation, and traditional knowledge.
Following the film, a panel discussion will feature Ricardo Gomes, founder of Instituto Mar Urbano and director of the documentary; Flávio Andrade, CEO of OceanPact; and Édison Carlos, CEO of Instituto AEGEA. The speakers will share their perspectives on the future of the Blue Economy, addressing topics such as sustainability, corporate responsibility, innovation, and the role of hope in building a more sustainable and prosperous future for our Ocean.
