La Bella Verde green boating Expedition
During Marta de Pascalis’ residency, a field expedition was carried out to Formentera in collaboration with La Bella Verde, a solar-powered boat designed for low-impact navigation. The journey allowed us to move quietly through the marine environment and access Posidonia oceanica meadows with minimal disturbance.
While on site, field recordings were conducted directly within the Posidonia meadows, focusing on the ambient and biological sound environment shaped by water movement and marine life. Being physically present in the seagrass habitat provided valuable context for both the acoustic research and the artistic process developed during the residency.
This expedition formed part of the broader Posidonia Soundscapes work, grounding listening and creation in direct engagement with the marine ecosystem.
