Exploring The Ocean’s Wonder
Through Art, Sound & Science

An official off-site event
2025 United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3)

TIDAL SHIFTS,
presented through a transdisciplinary collaboration of partners, is an immersive exhibition and symposium bridging ocean science, sound, art, and community action to foster Ocean Literacy and public engagement. Inviting participants to explore the Ocean as a source of wonder, intercultural dialogue, and shared responsibility, this initiative is co-created to support Challenge 10 of the UN Ocean Decade — restoring humanity’s relationship with the Ocean — and contributes to SDG 14 and the global goal to protect 30% of marine environments by 2030.

Carbon in the Current: Contrasting Futures for Our Changing Ocean

3D DIGITAL ANIMATION (ongoing)
Presented by: OA Alliance
In Collaboration with: PangeaSeed & ETH Zurich

A 3D digital artistic animation conveying the impact of climate change on our ocean.
Carbon in the Current draws upon the ETH Zurich Ocean Acidification Stripes, an innovative project which uses a stunning spectrum of colorful stripes to visually represent the rapid rate of change in ocean acidification recorded by global and regional observations over the past 40 years. Art makes science relatable, memorable, and motivational. By combining them, we aim to make the unseen impacts of climate-ocean change seen and emotionally felt.
